Koinonia offers comprehensive primary care and mental health care in a friendly, supportive environment. Services include sick visits, pediatric care, minor surgery, immunizations, adult care, OB/GYN and women’s health, mental health services, and a nutrition/obesity program. Other services provided include Hepatitis B & C treatment, HIV/AIDs treatment, and Suboxen for opiod abuse. Patient education is offered in the form of information from providers, and Koinonia has Spanish-speaking staff.

Prayer is offered for those patients who desire this service. Insurance counseling is offered by appointment. Koinonia also offers a prescription management system that allows patients to leave prescription information in the medication mailbox and expect refills within 24 hours.

Our Patients
In 2004 Koinonia had over 5,200 patient visits. Over 60% of Koinonia's patients receive Medicaid or managed Medicaid or have no health insurance. Approximately 44% of patients seen are African American and 12% are Hispanic or another ethnic minority.
